Description

Letter from Mary E. Stark to Marion Craig Potter. Potter was a physician and suffragist, who was the first woman physician to be appointed to the Rochester City Hospital, around 1898. She served as Vice President of the Medical Women's National Association, as President of both the Blackwell Medical Society and the Women's Medical Society of New York State, and belonged to the Committee of Medical Women of the Council of National Defense during World War I.
