Mary Church Terrell was an African American educator and civil rights activist. Was delivering addresses in Boston when Jackson's letter arrived and plans to go to New York later in the month. Enjoys speaking to young people about African American rights but would appreciate a financial contribution from the Friends' Seminary for her time.
