Description

Letters from Merle Mosier Potter to her then soon-to-be husband, Alfred Latimer Potter, and mother. The letters describe Merle Mosier Potter's experience as an intern at the New York Infirmary for Women and Children and Worcester Memorial Hospital, including rotations in surgery and obstetrics. Wedding plans are also discussed in the letters. Merle Mosier Potter graduated from Cornell University Medical College in 1917. She had a successful career as a gynecologist in New York and Rhode Island until her retirement in 1971.
